Gothic Vampire

Gothic Vampire

A Poem by linear
"

A little dark stuff (old poem)

"

In the land where all hopes and dreams

Have faded like the early morning mist

When even daylight shrouds you

Like the darkest night

Here is where you will ever find my soul

Creeping through passageways

Damp with the blood of the innocents

Here is where the screams of the lost and lonely

Reverberate through hallowed halls

The stench of decaying flesh

Assaults my senses, I feel the ever present hunger

The thirst for that warm sweet nectar

That pulsates through your veins and arteries alike

Moving slowly, creeping lowly

A shadows shifting shape

Peering through the window pane

Tap tapping lightly

Waiting anticipating at your window sill.

ooo, spooky...I'll be glad when Halloween is over, but i have to say this is kind of romantic in a dark gothic kind of way, I'm not sure if I would be compelled to lock the windows or throw them wide, it has that sense of dark foreboding but yet it's kind of vulnerable too, reminiscent of the Vampire romances.
