Beautiful TimeA Poem by linearLoves Lasting DreamThe
relentless winds of time have enfolded us Both
you and I Remembering
the days of long ago When
we were young Vibrant,
energetic in our love. Days
passed so slowly Days
of sweet rapture We
lived inside a bubble, like naked cherubs Laughing,
loving with all we had to give. Often
we would lie entangled In
aromatic emotions (did
we ever come up for air) We
became one In
all that could possibly mean. Now
those years have fled Passed
us by Yet
still we hold onto each another You
with a light dusting of snow upon your head Myself
a little less hair A
paunch and a little stooped perhaps. But
I look at you now And
still that twinkle is clear in your eye As
you say “it’s
late my love come to bed” And
it’s only half past eight!! © 2012 linearFeatured Review
