Beautiful Time

Beautiful Time

A Poem by linear
"

Loves Lasting Dream

"

The relentless winds of time have enfolded us

Both you and I

Remembering the days of long ago

When we were young

Vibrant, energetic in our love.

Days passed so slowly

Days of sweet rapture

We lived inside a bubble, like naked cherubs

Laughing, loving with all we had to give.

Often we would lie entangled

In aromatic emotions

(did we ever come up for air)

We became one

In all that could possibly mean.

Now those years have fled

Passed us by

Yet still we hold onto each another

You with a light dusting of snow upon your head

Myself a little less hair

A paunch and a little stooped perhaps.

But I look at you now

And still that twinkle is clear in your eye

As you say

“it’s late my love come to bed”

And it’s only half past eight!!

the beauty in this is like a perfect reverie... almost painful to behold something so treasured. I love the vibrancy and giving of everything to each other.. and growing old and still retaining that urgency... it's a beautiful dream indeed, but it hurts because something so perfect could not be real, could it? romantic and elegant... love it. thank you.

The love`s alive even after the barren pages of life either. I like the wonderful imagery. It`s emotional. Full of caring. A heartfelt write. The days never stopped for lovers nor the life for "young" hearts. But, there`s always a true love that stays alive around the globe in the format of peaceful cascades of pleasurable winds. Nice flow of ink.

So nice to see a post from you, this talks to me of a little old couple still in love after years of twinkling, reminds me of the movie I watched last night "Hope Springs" , definitely a chick flick but funny and perfect at the same time, like this poem!
