An Open Can of WormsA Poem by linearold poemIn
the quiet of a raging storm When
the very heavens wrath awaits Listens
and longs for you. Then
with your eyes tightly closed as usual You
will see all that you wish to see Yet
you won’t see me. In
the solace of your own mediocrity You
will call Dogs
will howl, as children scream But
never will a tree shudder and fall Silently
for you or me. Now
arise please open up those eyes Look
down on my seeming inequity As
the black leaves of a wasted education crash Lie
with me, die with me For
you will never hold me Feel
now if you may The
open can that resides inside a heart that has never pulsated Try
now and open those blind crimson Blasphemous
eyes And
realise you are not me! © 2012 linearReviews
