A very beautiful, if however depressing, write this is. I have often thought my end is just around the corner, but tomorrow still wakes me up. I would very much like to think this is just an exercise in the bravery of living life and accepting death. I can promise you death does not hurt anyone except the people we leave behind that love us. Time is so short for even the healthiest of people, everyday is a day for drawing close those we love, but especially the ones who would want to be by your side for however long they might get to hold you close.
Lmao!! I just clicked on your title, read the comments, and asked myself where the third stanza was!!! I really wish I was able to read this lol. Hopefully, it'll pop into that genious head of yours and I'll be able to read it :)

To me, there is a definite truth in the last stanza of this poem. Our memory will live on in the hearts of others, the hearts of those we are close to and I agree, through our written words.
Every time we write a poem (or anything else) part of us is entwined with those words. They might hold a special meaning to us, offer an insight into our deeper thoughts, or even just be special because we took the time to write them. Even though there are things I've written that I really don't like for whatever reason, I hardly ever delete them because they're still mine, still somewhat a part of me - if that makes sense...
Anyway -- I also like the third stanza of this. The analogy created by use of the seasons and the imagery of winter and spring is beautiful.
Lovely write linear.
