Evolution is always changing us, for those who wear too many hats and too many faces are always a puzzle to be worked out, torn apart and put together again for the few who believe that there was something worthy, something special in the picture that was unfinished, something worth the hourly efforts. So many times I have walked away to find a missing piece under the table or behind a couch only to rush it back to the body and try to find it's place. Even after I vowed to give it up, resilience or faith in that puzzle makes me do it. To have glimpsed beyond the surface to see someone in pain, betrayed, unforgiving, especially if that person is someone you once loved in every way that a person can be. Even in the face of defeat and rejection, to still care for the essence of that person that made you love, made you laugh, made you different in every aspect...there can be no surrender to hurt and confusion or even in seemingly obvious endings, because the heart remembers the teacher, the friend, to the tender now buried beneath seeming betrayal, it is easy to love someone who loves us back, it is the hardest challenge to believe and love someone who believes in nothing...and thus the worthy fight begins.
