This girl

This girl

A Poem by melopanda

There's this girl that makes me happy, even when I'm feeling snappy
I met her online, it was so divine
Like hearts intertwined, our love combined
I'll let her play with my heart strings, but I also want to know the following things:
- How would she smell if I nuzzled my nose lightly against her neck?
- Would she still love me even if I became a wreck?
- If I smiled at her would she smile back?
- And if I say, "Let's go camping." Would she tag along with me and my backpack?
No matter what I wonder, with her, I will always ponder
Still, near or apart, she'll always be in my heart
And when virtual becomes reality, what will be?
Well sadly I cannot call her mine
A rebel I am, I'm breaking the pattern rhyme
So why can't I call her mine?
Well God said that I cannot love the same gender
I am a girl and so is she
So she and I cannot be together
If that is the case...
then, God, I will love her for eternity in the way it should be.
