Chapter 6- Flashback (Mylee)

 

All of us girls in the car remind me of how we all met.

It was 2 years ago. We were doing a musical at school. High School Musical. Bella played Kelsey Daniels, Casey played Taylor McKessie, Daniy played Martha Cox, Jenna played Gabriella Montez, and I played Sharpay Evens. We were in the 7^th grade at the time. I can still remember us at practices.

“Girls come on! We have got to get these songs down! Now I need my Troy and Gabriella!” the director, Mrs. Jordans projected throughout the room. Troy had Jenna’s former crush/boyfriend Austin Hudgens.

“Are you ready?” Austin had asked Jenna.

Jenna looked up at him and smiled, “Oh course I am.”

“Okay. Ready?” Mrs. Jordans waited for them to nod. “Alrighty then. 1..2..3.. Begin..”

(Troy and Gabriella)

TROY (Austin):  I’m Troy. I can’t sing.

GABRIELLA (Jenna):  Gabriella. Me either.

TROY (Austin):  They’re all looking at us.

GABRIELLA (Jenna):  I will if you will.

TROY (Austin):   Livin’ in my own world. Didn’t understand. That anything can happen. When you take a chance.

GABRIELLA (Jenna):  I never believed in. What I couldn’t see. I never opened my heart.

TROY (Austin):  Ohhhhhhh

GABRIELLA (Jenna):  Too all the possibilities, ohh

BOTH (Austin & Jenna):  I know..

GABRIELLA (Jenna): That something had changed

BOTH (Austin & Jenna):  Never felt this way

GABRIELLA (Jenna):  And right here tonight

BOTH (Austin & Jenna):  this could be the Start of somethin’ new

GABRIELLA (Jenna):  It feels so right

BOTH (Austin & Jenna):  To be here with you, ohh. And now lookin’ in your eyes

GABRIELLA (Jenna):  I feel in my heart

TROY (Austin):  Feel in my heart

BOTH (Austin & Jenna):  The start of somethin’ new

TROY (Austin):  Ohh yeah. Now who’d ever though that… oh

BOTH (Austin & Jenna):  We both be here tonight... yeah

GABRIELLA (Jenna):  Oh yeah, the world looks so much brighter.

TROY (Austin):  Brighter, brighter.

GABRIELLA (Jenna):  Oh, with you by my side

TROY (Austin):  By my side

BOTH (Austin & Jenna):  I know.. that somethin’ has changed. Never felt this way

GABRIELLA (Jenna):  Oh I know it for real

BOTH (Austin & Jenna):  This could be the…start of somethin’ new. It feels so right to be here with you.. oh. And now… lookin’ in your eyes. I feel in my heart. The start of somethin’ new

TROY (Austin):  I newver knew that it could happen. Til it happened to me. Ohhhh, yeah

BOTH (Austin & Jenna):  I didn’t know it before.

GABRIELLA (Jenna):  But now its easy to see

BOTH (Austin & Jenna):  Ohhh. It’s the start of something new. It feels so right to be here with you… oh. And now… lookin’ in your eyes. I feel in my heart. That it’s the start of somethin’ new. It feels so right.

TROY (Austin):  So right… oh

GABRIELLA (Jenna):  To be here with you.. oh

BOTH (Austin & Jenna):  And now…

“Excellent! That was just magnificent!” I could see a smile run across Jenna’s face. It was adorable! She is a fantastic singer! That’s probably why she snagged the role of Gabriella Montez.
