The things you wait on in life, you might not get. I've wanted many things in life I never got. One of those things was an arcade machine. Oh well.
What would you do if I told you that finding a husband might not be in the cards for you? What would you say? If God told you that wasn't His plan for you, would you be OK with that? If He doesn't answer you in your direst time of need, would that cause you to abandon Him? Many have abandoned God because they found out He wasn't there to grant their wishes like some magical genie.
Are you OK with potentially not having a mate or finding a husband? Are you potentially OK with not getting what YOU want in life, but what God wants you to have? That's what you get, you know. You don't get what YOU want out of life. If you ask me, making plans in life is a fool's errand. But maybe not everyone can be like me.

About two years ago I grew a very hard heart toward dating and men and marriage and relationships and was 95% sure God wanted me to never have kids and not get married.
Last September the Lord started softening my heart toward men and relationships. A friend told me to read the book Redeeming Love. I hated it about halfway through and got mad even. But told myself to finish the book any by the end- my perspective and heart had softened. Since last September I’m no excited about the possibility of marriage whereas before I resented it. I used to say I never wanted kids and this past may my heart has softened toward the thought of possibly having a child if that be the Lords will.
It’s neat how God can soften or harden a heart in his timing and it’s interesting all the same hah some people will stay single and some people will be married. I guess time will tell for me! And I’m excited about that adventure

I don't know. To me, it isn't worth the hassle. Plus, I usually have the uncanny habit of crushing on women that are usually tied up in some unnatural s**t.
But you better make damn sure you can handle the pain, the work, and the suffering that may come with it. Marriage isn't all fun and games, you know. It's more work than it is anything.

I’m glad you enjoyed it in its allegory form too! :)
