That was the Moment

That was the Moment

A Poem by Meliss@k

The moment your arms traveled, slowly,
from around my waist,
Up-
now, hugging my shoulders,
pulling me in,
closer,
Your chin on my head
My cheek, glued to the warmth of your scent,
.eyes closed.
I knew,
I know,
That was the moment...
... we’d never “just be friends”
... I’d always love you
... You’d always love me
that was the moment.
Energies in unison,
Forever my Moon
Forever your Sun
Two lives, completely contrasting
Temporarily as one,
That Was The Moment
-‘till our last days come...

I imagined this would have worked pretty well in the liner notes of an old Taylor Swift song from her 'Enchanted' era. Love how simply straight forward the sense of this is, especially considering how playful the structure is.
