I DreamA Poem by Meliss@kLiterally...
I dream of working hard
To end up being with you. I dream of dirt, Dusk, dawn, and aching muscles From a hard days work. I dream of green pastures Filled with wildflowers and weeds, Old dirt roads that lead to... everything. I dream of learning to hunt beside you, Crouching behind bushes and trees, Then cooking a good meal With what we shoot, in the evenings. I dream of holding your hand As we watch the sun rise and set, I dream of riding our horses Searching the fence for mendings. It will be hard work, I know. But feeling the hot water Rolling down my skin As I shower clean, Then halfway getting dressed Into something "cozy", Ill be warming my sore toes on your feet, And we'll softly kiss goodnight... Maybe even other things... With just a few winks of sleep, Ill wake up to your work boots And buckled Cinch jeans. Pushing our bed sheets From my aged body, You'll be standing Reaching Pulling me toward your bare chest, Kissing me. "Mornin," you'll say. And we'll begin our day ...I dream. © 2013 Meliss@kFeatured Review
