Beauty and the NightA Poem by Meliss@kDistracted by the singing birds as I lay down every night, so I decided to write something creative and full of their delight.
I love the sounds the birds make at night.
Violins chirping to the sky. Colors of the ocean floating high, As the sun closes its eyes. A man on the moon sits patiently, hoping to catch a falling star with his hooked line, But he just stares at his reflection in the ocean of the night. When the sun closes its eyes, so do I, But who keeps watch with the lonely moon? Tucked in, and away so high... Is it the shadow of the sun? That accompanies the moons dead light? How could a shadow introduce such sight? Let me show you, Close your eyes... Soon you too will love the sounds The birds make at night. © 2013 Meliss@kFeatured Review
