The World, Coming to an EndA Poem by Meliss@kA Senior's high school year is overrated. Truly though. It still hasn't fully hit me that I'm graduating.... which kinda stinks because I'm stressing about "school" when I only have a day left of it. Ah, crazy how these "HUGE" worries of my life right now will be something I wish I still had in the future, because this present "Huge" will be nothing compared to the real world worries that i'll soon explore; Yet growing up, one wishes to be young, Wanting to play, but knowing already that the "fat lady" has sung... It's weird how children are taught to play and explore, Not wanting to take naps or help out with chores, Yet growing up, children wish they were older, Never being taught to do so.... Yet wanting independence to quickly grow. It's so ironic, the word "children", Because children begin their adolecent lives wanting to obtain the life of an adult. It's almost as if the child already know, That their life will never easily flow. It's weird how children long to be old, As if it is placed in their heads, like a necessary mold. © 2013 Meliss@kFeatured Review
