Fragile

Wishing that love would come out from hiding

That moment when your heart begins breaking,
That moment when imaginations keeps taking,

Everything I've hoped for is everywhere but here.
Every once in a while I'll shed a curious tear.
You have to keep on smiling and faking,
All the while time is all you've been saving.
It's clear that I have no one to hold.
I draw on a smile and pray I don't fold.
You are far.
You are cold.
At times I hate you for not being bold.
Others, I lay knowing to you my heart will be sold.
Come into my life.
If you are ready.
I watch full alert,
For windows there are many.
Yet, as one door opens, another seems to close
And I'm left sculpted in a statue-like pose.
Smiling, so no one
knows.

saving ourselves for that person who doesn't seem to notice us can be so painful...
we smile, but it isn't real...not really what we feel inside.
maybe Stephen Stills was right in his song..."if you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with"
i like this poem...it digs deep into the heart of the matter...

If you find love in this world, if it even exists, what will you do then?

Marriage, unfortunately, I equate to one big, fat gamble. You cannot guarantee another person's loyalty, and if I'm honest, I don't think God can guarantee a relationship because of the free will He grants everyone. He can stop people from doing things, but normally, in my experience, He won't.

That being said, never rush into something headlong. That's something I learned playing numerous video games in my younger years. You must first know in your heart that you are ready for such a commitment. Even so, if you're ready, you cannot guarantee that the person AKA the object of your affection is ready. Marriage, if you realize it or not, is largely work. It's not fun and games. It's hard, it's rough, and it usually doesn't end well for those involved.

And if you haven't already,, don't mistake sex for love. It's not. A lot of people make that same mistake, and it usually destroys their relationship. If you could even call it such. Also, I should tell you (yet again) that God's plans for you are usually always different from the ones you have for yourself. In many cases, they usually end up being the exact OPPOSITE of what you want. I ask you once more: are you OK with that? Following God means following Him in ALL circumstances, not just the ones you like. God will often take you where you DON'T want to go, and He won't apologize when He does. Are you alright with that? There's a lot of so-called Christian girls out there giving themselves sexually to every guy they come across, looking for love in all the wrong places.

Don't be that girl.

Not that girl at all. Thank the a Lord He has protected me from situations of which I could have easily been ‘that girl’ you mention above.

I’m willing dot do what God wants from me. I’m not perfect- but if he makes it clear to me and shows me the pathway (even if it’s not what I personally want) I will ask him for strength and go forth.

I wish you the best as well! If you’re a Christian (it’s hard to tell if you are or not- if you hurt toward love and God but still follow Him- or if you’re commenting on all of my poems with verses and critiques because of denial of Him... hard to tell)

But if you are a Christian- I truly hope the best for you. And I hope that you can learn that Love isn’t something that will always fail is. Love is the sunrise- and sunset: constant and will never fail. The lord created them both. And the Lord is true love that never fails - and he shows his love and never failing reign through His creation. There’s a verse in Hosea that a friend pointed out to me says “surely as the sun rises and as surely as the sun sets”. My friend pointed out the consistence of the word surely. And how the verse later says that Christ is the same. We can ‘Surely’ count on the Lord.

I trust that the lord provides love to me already. That I’ve experienced love already- and multiple times. Love isn’t a boyfriend, a girlfriend, dating, marriage... but love is your friends, your family, your community. Love is an action and not a substance.

I know I’ve already experienced love and I know I don’t need that through marriage (as Paul says it’s better in his opinion to be single because you can focus more of Christ). And I know that ‘love never fails’ according to the Word as well.

No...God wasn't there for me when I needed Him. Not on the most important thing I could've asked Him. He wasn't there for me, and not only was He not there for me, when I begged Him to do the thing I asked for, He basically threw it back at me and told me to take care of it. But I'm not. But Heaven will be wonderful for the people who make it. I won't be one of them.

It’s never too late for you sir- I don’t want to be in heaven without you and I don’t even know you.

If my heart wants you there- I can only imagine how much Christ wants you there.

I'm no one you should be worrying about. I'm just a random who reviewed your stuff. But you're welcome. I gave up on love a long time ago. I hope you never do. I hope you have people that love you, and that they don't leave your side like all the people I thought were my friends did me.

Be glad you don't know me, for if you did, you qould know misery and sorrow most exquisite.
