Mi Amor, The Broken.

Mi Amor, The Broken.

A Poem by Melinda
"

Just a jumble of feeling into a thrown together poem

"
Every night I sat
with tears of
broken heart rolling
down my cheek

Once olive skin is
now pale as snow
Once bright eyes
are dull and red

Hands, that used
to be held, are
empty except for
the memory of yours

A laughter that was
once abundant in your
presence, is covered in
long, painful sobs

A heart, that beat for
you and I, lay
shattered, torn,
dying slowly

Regret embraces
and smothers any
happiness that
is left in me

Hope, hope was
all I had left,
I've lost that
as well......

I laid my hope
in those big strong
hands and it was
swept away...lost

Why, my love
was tossed aside
our love, forgotten
Denied any remains of

Sleepless nights
wet eyes, and
a hunger more for
you, than any food

The thought of you
The remembrance
of us, your name, voice
Break me down

All of what we had
A dormant dream
In the mind of one
who cant forget

What we had a
spark of hope
dying out slow
