AwakenedA Poem by Mel Lisajust an old piece. revised.Awaken to the moonlight from night mares. Drifting from the scare producing fears. Finding Him in the morning, my being now soaring. A smile welcoming me to renewed innocence. Clearing my visions, now making sense. Beaming through the clouds that ray of light. Piercing through my sorrow, I held on with all my might. Yet still in bed I lay, warm kisses for the new day. Handing me his love on a platter of eternity, preserving my entity. An angel, I assumed sent from God above. this desired love in a vase of water, plunging into a purer state. This is my journey stay, my passion’s fate. I glanced far ahead. Frozen in a stare, their perfume filling the air. (Reminiscent of yesterday’s affairs) I arise into His arms sheltering exposed desires. My soul cries out from within, his words... pangs of lightening fires. They surge through my spirit. From my mind, no need to clear it. © 2014 Mel LisaAuthor's Note
