UnbreakableA Poem by Mel Lisajust random poemThey are like a swarm of disease carrying locusts, leaping about, swallowed up in their own chaos. Spitting venom, snarling as it drips from their lips like mucus. Crawling and creeping into your veins.
They are like migraines, pounding like jack hammers against your skulls. Giving you unbearable headaches, buzzing and ringing in your ears, they feast on that peace of your mind.
They are like sharp swords piercing with force and cutting through your back down your spine. Crippling, paralyzing so you can never move into action again.
They work you, absorbing, sucking all the life from you. Leaving you drained, sick in bed, all your energy depleted.
But with all they do, with all their efforts, in between insincere smiles and phony “How do you dos”
