Starry Eyes

Starry Eyes

A Poem by mel
"

Circa 2010

"
will you breathe for me
let your heart pound for me

my palms are facing up
and reaching out

I'd wear your heart like jewelry
close to my own

and if your heart is fragile
I can handle it with care

will you trust in me
I won't let you down

I'll be waiting
for that first inhale

and with starry eyes
you'll exhale and look deep inside of me

then I'll know
your heart is mine to keep
