Antonio

"Man come on, you always do this s**t." Antonio groaned.

"Chill i'm coming."

Leaning against the frame of the door, he watched as his sister walked around with one shoe on searching for the other. It was fifteen until six and they were supposed to be at their parents at six o'clock.

Waiting on Adriana was starting to irritate him at this point. She did this every time.

"We're going to be late because of you and you know how mom gets."

"Got it! Now we can leave." she said while strapping her heel on.

"Good." he mumbled, picking up his ringing phone. "Hey mom."

"Where are you and your sister? The guests have already started to arrive."

"We're down the road mom, I had to stop for gas." Antonio glared at his sister before getting in the car.

"Well hurry up." Julia said before hanging up.

He looked over at his sister while driving shaking his head before turning back towards the road.

Continuing the drive in silence, they eventually made it to his parents' house. Parking in his usual spot he got out and walked towards the door with his sister behind him.

Antonio rung the doorbell and waited for someone to answer.

The door opened and there stood his mother with her hands on her hips.

"Nice of my children to show up." Julia said.

"Sorry mom, Happy Anniversary." Antonio said kissing her on the cheek.

"It was all his fault, you know i would've been here." Adriana smiled hugging her mother while her brother rolled his eyes at her lies.

"Well you all are here now, so come in."

They walked in and as his mother stopped to speak to someone, he slipped off to go find his cousin. He knew he was here somewhere. They had business to discuss.

Brielle S.

Darkness. I was currently sitting against the wall in my apartment in the dark. This is as far as i got when i walked in. I don't know what to think or feel right now. So many emotions and thoughts are currently going through my head. The main question is why? Why me? Maybe i should've given him a chance and who knows if this would have even happened. This is my fault.

Feeling her phone vibrate in her pocket, she took it out her pocket and looked down at it. She answered it once she realized who was calling.

"Hello." She spoke barely over a whisper.

"Hey girl, i thought you would've hit me up by now." Keya beamed in the phone as the video finally popped up. "Wait why are you in the dark?"

"Keya..."

"What's up girl? You ok?"

"Honestly? no."

"Well tell daddy what's wrong." she joked smiling before fixing her face realizing that i wasn't laughing. "Seriously what's wrong boo?"

"Can you come over? I know it's late but i rather not talk about it over the phone."

"Sure girl, it sounds serious. I'm on my way now."

"Thanks." i said before ending the call.

I got off the floor and walked towards the bathroom in my bedroom. Deciding to take a shower before keya got here. I quickly shot her a text telling her to use the spare key i gave her; before I stripped my clothes off and turned on the water stepping inside.

As the water streamed down on me, my thoughts couldn't help but go back to what happened. If i would've resisted a second time i wonder if he really would have shot me.

I regret not putting up a fight but on the other hand, i don't. He could've really hurt me whether it was by beating me or shooting me.

STOP. My inner voice said. What happened is over now and you're alive that's all that matters. I shook my head, clearing myself of my thoughts. I decided that i wasn't going to cry or dwell on the situation anymore right now.

After my short but thorough shower, I stepped out and wrapped myself in a towel before walking towards the bathroom mirror.

Looking in the mirror i examined my face and neck. I could tell where he had hit me, as there was a small bruise on my cheek.

Also examining my neck i could see a purple line forming from when it was rolled up in the window. I smiled sadly as i stared at myself before going in my room.

As i started to dry off i heard someone slam the door and yell.

"Bre, im here."

"In my room.", i responded.

"I got here as fast as i could, so what's up?" she said taking a seat on my bed.

"Ummm..well....I was raped."

"WHAT? WHEN? WHY ARE YOU SO CALM?"

"Well after the game, i was closing my trunk when he came up to me and because i have no more tears left keya, im just hurting inside now."

"Do you know who it was? Did you call the cops? Did you go to the hospital?" she questioned shooting off more questions back to back.

"Yes, no and no."

"Who? and why the hell not bre? Rape? that's something serious."

"I know but i'm scared K because of who it is. I don't even want to tell you."

"You know you can tell me anything."

"Promise me you won't tell anybody?"

"I promise you have my word, now tell me."

"It was Demarcus."

"Demarcus? King's son?" she asked shocked.

" Yes.."

"Wow.. what would make him do some crazy s**t like that?"

"All because i turned him down." i said shaking my head in disbelief "Not only did he rape me, he almost killed me keya."

She got up and came to the side of the bed I was on and embraced me in a hug.

"I'm so sorry you had to go through that." She said still holding me tight in a hug. "We have to go to the police. I don't care who he or his daddy is."

I pulled her off of me and held her by the shoulders.

"No, i can't and I won't. I honestly just want to forget about it. Like nothing even happened."

"Well can you please atleast tell me why?"

"For one he threatened me, he knows where i live K and two i don't want to be looked at as some victim. I just want to forget about it."

"Okay well I understand, but I'm here for you though if you change your mind."

I gave her another hug and thanked her before letting her out. Closing the door and locking it behind her, I went back to my room and laid down. I was honestly worn out and tired from todays events. Before i knew it i was knocked out.
