No crapA Poem by Nathina OutrightThe light turns to darkness,The sun starts to fade.I curl up in the cornerbecause I am afraid.
Suddenly, I hear his footstepshere they come, my way."Please don't let him hurtme!" Silently, I pray.
The darkness turns to lightas I look up at his face.He says "You don't belonghere. I've made a better place."
"But, surely, you don't know meor you'd see that I've been hurt.I've grown up in a place like thisand dirt will turn to dirt."
The Lord came and knelt besideme and, in his arms, I'm wrapped. He held me close and whispered"I don't make no crap!"© 2009 Nathina OutrightAuthor's Note
