A Dear Friend II - A Poem for Caitlen

My second poem about one of my friends.

She is as tough as a brick of lead

But as nice as a cushioned bed

Just don’t piss her off

And you won’t end up dead

 

She’s as pretty as can be

She’s as funny as a flea

Don’t ask me why that is

That's the writer being lazy

 

You’ll want to talk to her all day

For any price, you would certainly pay

She listens and gives good advice

Exactly what the best of friends would say

 

Keep her ever so close to your heart

She’s not something you put in a shopping cart

I feel blessed to have met her

She is one of God’s greatest works of art

 

For her to be happy is my greatest wish

She can take anything that life may dish

If her boyfriend ever breaks her heart

I’ll whack him with a great big… fish

 

This girl is seriously the bomb

And more entertaining than a high school prom

Proof that you won't find anyone else
