ring -leash

A Poem by melancholy

glamoured by the contentious love-devil*

he models his heart-tag noose on her*

slyly gapes and gags her with engaging garble*

she wears the dress of the masochistic rebel*

binge-pleaser*

teases the arouser*

as he walks the gallant fool into the blushing dead*

she regurgitates the words he promises*

closing eyes mock her closing fists*

her static is hushed with a kiss*
