night-lite

night-lite

A Poem by melancholy

an infinite ebony of crystals shimmer abroad my grave pale glow-

dazzling it's moon-lit candles-

soft blue flames of the purest white light shining crosses of silver and gold-

god's falling angels-

prayers whispering across the galaxy-

mystery's fortune and fates untold-

a love-ocean of wishing wells-

the stars chime-

god's playing magnetics-

lightning illuminates the sky-

wild fire souls rain-dance the night away-

a heavenly mirror-

god is forever-

What I dig about this poem right off is every gorgeous line could start its own other poem -- like hypertext, a strong subliminal quality, implicit footnotes, highly compressed.

Tho' EVERY line is strongly excerptable, "wild fire souls rain-dance the night away-" seems the action joystick, exultant, classically touching the emotive keynotes of fire and rain, dancing all night. . .Beautiful.

This poem is an exquisite jewelled belt of high dreaming, girding against mediocrity, lacing the firmament, singing the whole truth that God is none other than Existence Itself.

I salute your ardent soul, and the prismatic poignance of this poem.
