Anthem of NaËveA Poem by AmelieA VillanelleI caught myself
in a familiar throng; Shoulders
rubbed against thighs and heat been bled- There is
something so wrong with nothing wrong. Muffled screams
tuned as a dissonant song, It wants me to
hear truths I know none of : I caught myself
in a familiar throng. Magdalene’s
hearse will stop by here erelong And I will be
veiled in black to her taste- There is
something so wrong with nothing wrong. These eyes saw
pale- skinned women dragged along; They've shed no
tears- all’s been left, long vanished. I caught myself
in a familiar throng. Here I am
clothed in nothing but a thong; Intoxicated, thrown
to a landscape of bloodiest red- I caught myself
in a familiar throng. There is
something so wrong with nothing wrong. © 2012 AmelieAuthor's Note
