no fault in darkness

This poem is about a maladroit beauty that I know. One who we have all hated in jealousy, until we discovered the pain just beneath the surface.

a maladroit beauty

her golden hair

and pearly eyes

stumbling towards him 

searching among malicious souls, 

for one she could fall into

and finding no prize

she fell back on her own

with no one there to catch her

and she landed on the cold concrete

dead before she even touched the ground

but landing with such a grace

that it was worth being alone

because now they finally saw her

and pearly eyes faded to darkness

such perfection, though

for no fault exists in the dark

lacking in adroitness; unskillful; awkward; bungling; tactless: to handle a diplomatic crisis in a very maladroit way.

Hmm, striving for perfection- something no one can accomplish. This sort of reminded me of the movie 'black swan' in a way when (Spoiler-) The main character dies, and with her last final breath, at the end of her performance says "I was perfect," even though we all know she wasn't. Anyway- after all my rambling...haha...This was very good and you convey imagery very well!
