story of an outcast...

story of an outcast...

A Poem by melOH!knee
"

this is written about me and my best friend mostly. the second verse is about something that a girl said to me. about me being exactly like my mom, who left me when I was very little. it was hurtful..

"

in her blue eyes

words fall like dust

gaining paranoia,

and losing the trust

she has no people,

not a thing to her name.

for her and her mother,

are exactly the same

a guitar's simple strumming,

and a friend's gentle smile,

asking her not to leave them,

so she'll stay for a while

for that one precious moment,

and she hopes that it lingers

but seconds escape

and slip right through her fingers

it's the rhymes that will save her

the poems she can't lose

she's an outcast, no doubt there

but that's just old news...

This was beautiful. It was depressing and I could relate a bit, but you did a good job. It flows well, and it just gives you this feeling...I can't explain it, it was a good feeling though.
Good job!
