Well, you might think so but many a man has been held captive by the image of a woman gone, her touch, her smell, the sound of her voice. Even if the death of the relationship wasn't either's choice. If you wait for someone to notice you that has had many chances already, then you are doing yourself a disservice and may be waiting a long time. I like this. Kind of reminds me of lyrics by a band called "Mazzy Star. They had a female singer who wrote a lot of songs about being in love with unavailable men. The passive sexual energy in the poem is an interesting contrast to my own sexual energy which is definitely assertive. Great write
