Grain of DustA Poem by M RaiThe poem is about sorrow and sadness.
Let
me relieve in the swings of slumber, Let my heart melt Let
the secrets of life sparkle and let them mock me again Soul
is addicted to pain so much, can't live without it Like
opiate, it shows me joy and delight, never seen before Stretches
my breath to endless hills with its cruel arms And
deceives my heart to yearnings of long, blissful life
Like
candle I weep and shed my pearls to rivers and seas Like
flowers I lose my petals and wilt into an ugly seed Like
a lonely moon I breathe and hum on a starless sky Like
rocks I am hurled, rolled and withered away But
lashes of life ruthless for this unworthy ember No
glamour, glow or strength at all
Being
trampled under feet of fate, a life I never wanted Wondering
if the words of peace do really exist Smiles
staring from clouds and cliffs to never let Their
rains and rivers embrace their unfulfilled promises A
huge hole dug in my heart as sorrow's shelter Homeless,
destitute where should this vagrant go © 2016 M Rai |
