How I Wish

The poem expresses mother's joy and yearning.

How I wish

Sitting in the room alone tonight

Oh how I wish you were here by my side

To see the tiny little feet crawling around

Dancing to the tune, tapping at sound

Scurrying to play at day was such bliss

God’s choreographed moments you truly missed,

I wish you were here to love him and embrace

To gently touch and caress his face

For eternity we shall adore and love

This sweet little blessing from heaven above
