You Are What You Love, Not What Loves You

You Are What You Love, Not What Loves You

A Poem by Meg Grim

I'd spent so much time
writing,
writing
about fire and passion
and about
what I wanted to
do
and who I wanted to
become.
And then,
I realized:
Why play with fire
when you can
become
it?

Becoming fire in the context of taking on goals or how you focus can be a beneficial attribute in anyone.

Title reminds me of a line from that movie, Adaptation. I can't remember the line exactly, but it's something like that. True, in any case.
