Part Eleven: An OdieA Chapter by THE [ME]GEAN"Ooohh... uuuhhh..." "I need 20 sugars- 5 coffees- 10 waters- and a jelly donut stat!" Brenden yelled. Matt ran to go get what the doctor requested. "Breennddenn... i-is that you?..." He was foaming at the mouth and his otherwise colored skin was now a ghost pale. He held his gut in pain and his dark hoodie was in disarray. His hair looked half about fallen off in an ashen mess and his once light hazel eyes became a pale shade of dirt brown. It was the least to say Brenden had his work cut out for him. "Oh, God." Travis face paled. "We might lose him." "Please say it isn't true, doctor! Please say it isn't true!!" Spencer piped up shaking in worry and fear. "Ooh, God! He's going to die! He'll never make it past the pain!! And he never even learned to read!!!" The boy began screaming and shaking. Travis flung him self over him- trying to suppress the urge to cry. "We're losing him!!" Brenden grabbed Spencer by the collar and slapped him across the face. "Get a hold of yourself!" He threw Spencer back a bit and turned back to his patient. "He isn't going down under. Not on my watch!!" "Here you are doctor!" Matt ran in with another waitress carrying the 'medical' supplies. "Good." Brenden took it and placed it all on the edge of the table. "Lay him down on the table." Matt and Andy slowly lifted him up and put him down on the table. "Gloves." Tough latex was wrapped over Brenden's bare hands. "Check." "Robe." A light blue hoodie was put over his arms backwards on Urie like a smock. "Check." "Mustache." The rough hair was taped to his upper lip. "Check." "Cap!" The Charlie Chaplin hat was placed over his head. "Check." "I am going to operate now!" Brenden said sternly. "Be careful doctor." Spencer shivered. "I couldn't bare losing him!" "You won't." Brenden replied. Between the sobs and moans Spencer shivered and cried. His disturbed mind couldn't comprehend what he was seeing, like any civilian in a surgery all he saw was a slew of knives and liquids. But somewhere between Brenden's determined glint and Travis' shocked expression, he trusted it would come out alright. "I need aspirin! Where is my aspirin, Matt?" "Sorry doctor!" Matt ran out. "Dab." Will leaned over and took the sweat from Brenden's forehead with a napkin. "The odds are against us, but I think I might actually get this right." "Are you sure?" Spencer scrunches his forehead up in worry. "Don't do that, you'll get wrinkles." Brenden snapped. "Ooohhh... ahhh... I-I can see the light Brenden." He gasped. "No! Damnit! Stay with me!" Brenden yelled. "Aspirin!" Matt handed Brenden the pills. "Brenden!!" He screamed in pain. "No, don't you dare die on me." Brenden took the water bottle. "He's flat lining doctor!" Matt screamed. "He'll never make it!" Spencer squealed. "We're doomed!!" Travis cried. "Come on! Come on!!!" Brenden yelled as he went to work against all odds! "We're not going down yet!" "I-it's so cold." He shivered. "I need ten lits of fluids!" Brenden yelled. Matt ran out again. "Spencer, I want you to hand me that straw." Brenden held out his hand- his eyes never leaving his patient. "T-This?" Spencer held up the blue object. "B-But will it hurt him?" "Damnit Spencer. I don't need questions! I need help!" Spencer hesitated but handed it to him. Matt came back in holding a vile of a dark like liquid. He quickly handed it to Brenden and stood by for assistance. "Now, be cautious." Brenden stuck the straw in. The liquid quickly filled it in its dark way. He slowly took it in his blood stream. For a moment everything went black for him. His eyes grew paler than before and Brenden thought there would be no hope. As his hand slowly fell limply on the tables edge all hope was lost. Brenden took a deep breath and sat back on the chair behind him. Spencer began crying on Travis' shoulder and Matt fell on the floor screaming. "Noooooooooo!!!! God no!!!!" Matt screamed. "We lost him!" Spencer cried. "I-I've never lost a patient." Brenden's face paled. "I-I lost him." A heavy silence fell upon the room in memory for what once was a happy man. The disease that had taken over so quickly had killed him. What a sneaky disease among men. It had taken up his insides and gotten into his head. It had ruined his body and mind. It had done the worst injustice. His cancer. "I cant believe we lost him..." GASP! Suddenly he sat up in a loud gasp for air. The table boomed with life again and everyone cheered for the now living man! They had almost lost him, but it seemed fate had other plans in store. A life worth living now! A life worth having now that he had faced the worst. "He's alive!" Spencer jumped. "Good job doctor." Matt regained his composure and patted Dr. Urie on the shoulder. "Thank you so much!" Spencer hugged Urie's legs. Brenden couldn't suppress a smile as he threw his arm up in the air in triumph. "YES!" A dramatic pause hit as everyone stood in their posed position. Brenden stood in the middle with his fist up in the air like a statue. He looked up letting his chiseled features hit the sunlight elegantly. Spencer held onto Brendens legs looking slowly disheveled and scared. Matt smiled happily and put his hand on Brendens shoulder, while Travis put the back of his hand against his mouth as if seeming worried. Will stood next to Travis putting his hand lightly on his shoulder and clutching the napkin tightly, as Andy stood with his hands on his hips and his nose in the air. Oh, and the waitress next to them stood holding a tray and chewing bubble gum. "You guys are insane, you know that?" Ryan's eyes went blank as he sipped his coffee. "Oh, hey "Morning." I smiled as I stood slightly behind the uncaring Ryan. "How is everyone?" "Ugh... hung over." I slowly looked down at the patient as he looked up at me and spoke again. "Oh, you're Mia, right?" "Yes." I instantly tensed up. "nd your-" "Peter Wentz." He smiled. "Nice to meet you." I shook his hand and helped him off the top of the table. Everyone in the restaurant was looking at us now. Not only for that little fiasco, but because we- or rather them- where "rock stars" and all. "Nice to meet you too." I shook. "Oh, that's Patrick. He pointed over to a slumped over figure at the end of the table. I couldn't see his million dollar baby face because he was hunched over and hidden by a trucker hat. "And that's Andy." He pointed to a tall red haired- glasses wearing- man standing by Brenden. "And that's Joe." He motioned toward another hunched over figure. "Ehh..." Joe moaned as he slowly raised his hand in a "hello" gesture. "Hi, guys." I smiled. All of them moaned bloody murder in response. "Nice to meet you too." I slowly sat down by Ryan who had now taken up residence at the table across from Brenden. Ryan slung his arm over the back of my chair and leaned back. He didn't seem to think much of it, but I tensed up immediately. Well, more than I already was... "Did you have a nice sleep?" Brenden asked as he took his coffee in his hand. "Yeah, did ya?" Will stuck a straw in his jelly donut. "Uh... yeah?" I raised an eyebrow. "How about you guys? Dream or do any supermodels last night?" I leaned forward. "Oh! Me-Me!" Peter raised his hand in a triumphant smile, I just laughed. "Ew, what the hell are you doing?!" Travis scrunched up his face in disgust. "Eating." Will smiled. Will was sipping the jelly out of his jelly donut through a straw on one end of his mouth, and on the other hung another straw to a can of pepsi cola. "Uhm..." The waitress loomed over me. "What would you all like to eat?" "I'll have the waffles, thank you." Brenden nodded and smiled. "I-" Travis turned back to Will. "I've lost my appetite this morning." Will shrugged. "I'll have the double stacker pancakes!" Pete jumped up happy. "Oh! And another one of these!" He pointed at the class of dark liquid in his hand. "I'll get... er... a coke and a cheeseburger please." Spencer closed his menu. "I'll have a glass of orange juice and the cheese egg omelet." Andy smiled. "What he's having." Matt nodded to Andy. The waitress nodded and turned to Will. "I'll have-" Will took a deep breath and looked at the menu. "The happy face chocolate covered pancakes with a side of eight sausages, eggs, bacon, two strawberry crepes, the double stacker regular Belgian waffles, a bowel of cereal, the toasted oats, a cheeseburger, an extra side of fries, the steak, and the pork and beef sunny side up egg thing- and two chocolate shakes." All of our mouths dropped. "Anything else?" The waitress smacked her gum. "A coke please." Will smirked. "Uh huh..." She slowly turned to me afraid of what I might ask. "I'm fine with my coffee, thanks." I smiled up. Then she turned to Ryan who lifted his coffee in the air slightly as if to say he was fine with just that. "Oh!" Pete raised his hand as if a kid back in school. "Could we get like two more of these?" He pointed again to his dark liquid drink. "And two more waters. They're hung over from last night." He cocked his head over to Joe and Patrick who moaned in response. The waitress nodded still disheveled by Will's order. Her face was priceless. Her blue eyes where bulging half way out of their sockets and her mouth hung open. I was afraid flies would fall on it! I didn't stare too much though. I probably looked a little shocked myself. "Ow!" Will held his head. "What did you do that for?" "Why can't you be a normal human being for once?!" Travis scowled. "What?" Will shrugged. "He's not a normal human being though." Brenden laughed. "He's our little rock star vacuum. Love." He made a heart with his fingers. "Aww, that's sweet, Brenden." Will put his hand over his heart. "Bunch of fairies." Ryan sighed and set his coffee on the table. "Speaking of fairies!" Brenden smiled and turned to me. "Mia." "Oh, gee, thanks." I sighed and rolled my eyes. Ryan choked out a laugh. "We have something to ask you." Spencer piped up. "It's serious now, and you don't have to answer completely." Travis rested his elbows on the table. "Yahph chu gotta chus 'hough." Will munched on his donut. "What is it?" I looked at them all wide eyed. "A proposition..." Brenden leaned in and looked at me seriously.
