I Remember...A Poem by Megan StepI Remember... I remember the small trail of my footprints in the sandy ash, following my mother who ran desperately away from the thick gray arms of the Monster behinde us. I remember eating a yummy meal only mear hours before, the taste of the spagetti still lingering on my tongue. I remember the unrestranceable heat the wrapped around my body as I followed my mother down the countless of stairs, my little legs screaming in pain, wanting to give up and just rest. I remember the thick lines mascarra running down my mother cheeks, as she urged me to move forward. I remember the pure panic in the eyes of the strangers as they let my mother and I pass. I remember the extremely loud, deffening loud, rumble, watching the whole thing disapear. I was only seven, but I remember and I will never forget. It was suppose to be a wonderfully vaction, but it became know as September 11, 2001 © 2011 Megan StepAuthor's Note
