The Back of the Book

The Back of the Book

A Chapter by Megan Step
"

The small insight to the novel usually found on the back of the bookb

"

Death: the action or fact of dying or being killed; the end of the life of a person. The inevitable was what my mother called it.

Fate: the development of events outside a person's control. Or what my father called it, a sticky relationship shared with Death. And on a chilly December morning, two years ago, at my school's desginated bus stop in Hope Ranch, New Hampshire, I was fate and I met death.

I am Fate Campbell.
