Dream lurker .

Dream lurker .

A Poem by Megan Danielle Kelley

There’s a person lurking in my dreams.
Silently walking, hiding it seems.
Who are you dream walker?
My mystery dream lurker..
Are you haunting me ?
You’re presence is scary .
It’s almost horrifying .
Deathly terrifying..
Why must you do this to me ?
I’m lost, don’t you see.
You’re jumbling up my mixed emotions.
I don’t understand your notion.
Are you a guardian, or a monster?
Are you something I need to conquer?
I past fear , maybe?
A childhood nightmare? It can’t be!
Are you all made up?
Maybe my mind’s corrupt?
This suspense is dreadful.
You’re so unusual!
Show me who you are?
Where you came from, is it far?
Why are you in my mind?
Are you kind?
So many questions, so little time.
Is it my soul, you wish to find?
Go away, please .
Mystery person that no one else sees…

I enjoyed reading this!

Hey there! Welcome to WritersCafe. :-)

I love poems about dreams, so when I was looking through your stuff naturally I chose this one. Ha ha. You have a lot of great ideas in this poem. One thing that really helps me with writing poetry is to read it aloud either just to myself or to my sister. That way you can hear where things may have been written better. While I very much enjoyed your concept, my tongue kept catching on lines.

With rhyming poems, it's more appealing to the reader for the lines to be about the same length.

I hope my comments help you! Keep writing!
