The RoomA Poem by Megan Lynn
The hall light flickers
As the old couple bickers I can hear them shouting below shouting screaming no The door creaks open As he begs me to show him I can hear him begging behind Pleading begging hide My favorite room in the house With the big red door Inside quiet as a mouse My favorite room in the house With the hollow walls Inside they all fall The lamp light flickers As i enter with a snicker I can hear them all Standing just outside Pleading don't go further Pleading don't go My favorite room in the house With the big red door Inside quiet as a mouse My favorite room in the house With the hallow walls Inside we all fall
