SleeplessA Poem by Megan Lynn
Another sleepless night
Please don't turn out my light it's then the monsters come out to fight it' then they come I'm scared (I try not to be) In fear (I try not to be) I'm scared (I try not to be) In fear of sanity These walls might come down on me And I'm afraid to try and be free Another sleepless night Please don't turn out my light It's then the monsters come out to fight It's then they come Sleepless nights waiting for the light Tired days, it's a price I'll have to pay Didn't want to fight this world alone I just wanted to find my way home The monsters don't come to play And this time they're here to stay I turned out my light to hide But they found me in my mind I'm scared (I try not to be) In fear (I try not to be) I'm just scared of sanity
