Abyss

Abyss

A Poem by Megan Lynn

We both died for light
Gave up on life and let the dreams
suffocate what was inside
The feeling of the dark wrapped
around my old scars
Shook me to the bone
by tomorrow I'll be gone

I've been running
It's been too long
You've been hiding
Are we even breathing

Wake me up when
the nightmare is over
I'm losing my heart
as I fight getting older

Don't want to get lost
(Please don't lose me)
In the abyss we ignore

We both thrived for light
Gave up on life and let the dreams
suffocate what was inside
The feeling of the dark wrapped
around these fresh scars
These broken bones
by tomorrow I'll be gone

Really like the emotion behind it, the words give a clear feeling of being tired of life and feeling lost... Great lyrics.
