Despoina

Despoina

A Poem by megan17
"

Sometimes the things we can't understand, become the things we define as beautiful.

"

Mother Nature.

She should be called  Despoina.

For she is unpredictable,

She is powerful,

She is insatiable.

Her works,

Are beyond incomprehensible.

Take the ocean;

Its mystical waves,

A never ending cycle of wondrous seafoam.

The unmeasurable depths of the water below us.

The uncountable creatures she has added.

A work of art.

The forest;

Indescribable trees,

Stretch far beyond what our eyes can see.

Birds soaring above our heads,

The restlessness of the leaves on the ground,

Pure beauty.

Especially the allure of thunderstorms.

Their unpredictable sporadicness,

Leaving some in fear,

While others are overcome in awe.

The captivating works of wonder,

Pure perilous glamour.

Us infinitesimal humans can not compare to her power.

She is hypnotising,

She is mesmerizing

She is flawlessly unique,

She is Despoina.
