AddictionsA Poem by megan brooksself-harm, cuttingAs her mind whisps around that one word, the word that burns ever cell in her entire body. It's wrong yet so wonderful. It's the pain that brings her happiness. Her love that people say is diry and unatural. But for her, it's the slightest sliver of a touch, a feeling that keeps her and her mind as calm as a summer breeze. Though people say she's crazy, that she herself is unatural. But with her? It's the everyday struggle to keep her actions only as thoughts. And sometimes, she can't help but her thoughts from becoming her actions. And so, by the end of the weary night, seems to subside.
