Lonely Corner

Lonely Corner

A Poem by Drowning with Stars

There's a place somewhere out there
It's in the middle of nowhere
There's a calm pond surrounded by trees

That are all patched with moss

It's where the stars drown in the blackest sky
That's never known the city lights
It's the home of several crickets and frogs

Who love to make music atop the spongy bog

The warm moistness will always hug you comfortingly

No one's ever seen this place but me
And it's the perfect place to be lonely

I almost felt I was in this place, it was so beautiful. Loneliness doesn't seem like such a bad thing if it was like this.

About
What I love about poetry is that it's completely personal. Not only to the writer, but the same poem also means something a little different to every single reader, the same way a song is different to.. more..
