Fourth of July <3A Poem by Drowning with Stars
Don't you hate it when you get a glimpse of something great
And then all too soon it slips away? I got a little preview of you and me But we never got a chance to be That's one Fourth of July I'll never forget The way it felt with my head on your chest And your fingers laced through mine They fit so perfectly, as if it was God's very design You brought out a side of me That even I had never before seen I wonder where we'd be right now If I'd never had to leave that town
It didn't last long enough to make it hard to leave behind And yet I still think of the day that you were almost mine © 2011 Drowning with StarsReviews

Not only to the writer, but the same poem also means something a little different to every single reader, the same way a song is different to.. more..Writing
