New ReflectionA Poem by Drowning with StarsHave you ever made the same mistake over and over, hoping, praying that one of those times, it wouldn't be a mistake? I have. Not at all long ago I thought, I just know I'd be fine. Another kiss from you, Surely, surely it would get me through." The benefit of the doubt has always been my choice; I wouldn't believe it until it was your voice. But as it turns out, your silence is enough. And letting you go, it no longer seems so tough. You can stop feeding me that cruel false hope, Those all-too-heartfelt lies. There's finally something new reflecting off the stars in my eyes. The sincerest of best wishes, I really do hope you had fun. Because darling, this time I believe that I'm truly done. © 2012 Drowning with Stars |
