Fairytale Love

I don't simply believe that fairytales can come true,

I know for a fact that they do.

Being in love, that's all it takes.

 

See, love is nearly impossible to break,

And so it embraces imperfection,

It flourishes when in pain,

It presses on when smothered,

It's loyal when discouraged.

Even when it fades, it rarely disappears.

 

So if you find a love that makes your reality a fairytale,

Keep it in your heart.
And if it breaks your heart,

Keep it in your soul.

 

Keep it, and don't let it break.
Embrace its imperfection,
Let it flourish even in the pain it gives,

Press on when it's smothered,

Stay loyal to it when discouraged.

If it begins to fade, don't let it disappear.

 

Withold the passion for this loveliness

And your fairytale may be tragic,

But it will be a fairytale nonetheless.
