your country's kiss of death

your country's kiss of death

A Poem by Mem

no one sings prettier about a paradise than people who live there

start looking for something worth a sin
before this sin finds you naked and blind
camping under your own door, not within
mind smelling like mint, heart just mined

murder as a rape of nature
nature as something you try to cheat on
but stereotypes, superstitions
not a vision of blind creator
your country says: shoot him
mother: don't
victims: come on

start looking for something worth a sin
before this sin finds you naked and blind
camping under your own door, not within
mind smelling like mint, heart just mined

red dress, new symbol of opposition
people's thoughts even naive and forgetful
don't commit a crime you neighbours did
country: so generous
mother: please son
victims: be a fool

start looking for something worth a sin
before this sin finds you naked and blind
camping under your own door, not within
mind smelling like mint, heart just mined
