![]() Art Imitates LifeA Poem by Mario Vitale![]() Art has so much to offer![]() Art Imitates LifeA full pledged assault on the radicals at heart
They are evil minds that plug destruction with viscous fangs that bite While the outside waiting world desperately searches for an answer The thought of life without restraints a free will desire We aimed our arrows in the sky to be a brave soldier Shattered glass fallen in tiny miniature pieces One can lose touch with the real meaning of this earthly existence Art imitates life in the vast perpetual strife Read a good book to unleash the longing for so much more Yet more of what Such as an artists palate the extremities of colors vastly endorsed We squeeze solace into a tender habitation next to remorse Yet by our own omission we are left as a hidden rat still in it's cage Look at the blank canvas once again you can only imagine what's within An aura of twilight mark on a blotted page yet clearly intact © 2017 Mario VitaleAuthor's Note
