A Poem of Sodden Revelations

A Poem of Sodden Revelations

A Poem by M.E. Bergquist
"

Wrote this a while ago. More fish jokes.

"

I was bubbling along in a merry way

A bit on the damp side but on the whole quite O.K.

Overall my existence was one that of bliss

But I had a sinking feeling; there was something I was beginning to miss

I tried to shake the feeling but it wouldn’t go away

Was it the fear to be served on a dish?

I found it increasingly harder to breath,

I was starting to feel quite funny indeed

It was something I simply could not dismiss

That’s when the scales fell from my lids and I realised I wasn’t a fish.
