Watching the moon

Watching the moon

A Poem by M.E. Bergquist
"

Another imaginatively titled poem about the moon.

"

Watching the moon

Make its way across the sky

A little lower than the night before

And a little more bright

The sound of soft piano music

Being drowned out by a blow-dryer

Writing this in the weak light of my screensaver

And a fat moon

Black twigs cuts across its surface

Like lace

A near-full orb as bright as the midday sun

Double-glazing breaking its light giving it a weak twin

For company
