I taste bloodA Poem by M.E. BergquistSomething I wrote the other day. I'm not very good at describing my poems, but I suppose it's mostly about resentment. My friend said she liked it...Let
teeth sink Into the flesh of rainy days As melancholy plays Out a tune on severed heart
strings
Let
fangs rip At the throat Of another Plastic reality
I
taste blood
Everything
you say Makes me bite my tongue
Your
happiness Leaves me numb
Your
misery Makes me grin Bare my teeth
I
taste blood
Your
misery Illuminates my own Melancholy
You
can do nothing right My standards are just too high
Everything
you do Makes me bite my tongue I taste blood © 2015 M.E. Bergquist |
