Simply Viceless.

Simply Viceless.

A Poem by A Lost Man Found
"

delve into the mind of the lost...... you may not return.

"

The bottle hits my lips

I'm home again.

Think about her kiss...

I'm alone again.

Hazy, crazy, malboro red bliss...

In the zone again.

allright, hear me go.

the bottles like an old friend now,

picks me up when i don't know how.

The captain and me, we sing together,

While jack and I ride out the weather,

Drink enough to outdrench the storm,

But no amount of brandy keeps me warm.

Me and jose hang all the time,

Empty shot glasses keepin time,

Lefty righta left down a straight line,

No I promise sir I’m fine.

Stumble home to my own tomb,

Sorrow and smoke  fills the room,

Cowboys and camels, so much fun,

Who really needs both lungs…

The bottle hits my lips

I'm home again.

Think about her kiss...

I'm alone again.

Hazy, crazy, smoky bliss...

I’m gone again

Nictotine keeps me awake,

Her memory won’t let me sleep.

Alcohol makes me brave,

When her picture makes me weak.

Time slows, hearts stop,

But the pain never does.

She moving on, I’m not,

So more whiskey dilutes my blood…

But all cigarettes burn out,

The bottles always go dry.

No matter how I shout,

You can’t hear me in the sky.

I long for the days,

Before you faded away.

The times of peace,

The times of bliss,

The when you were still here,

Were simply…. Viceless….

I have been down that alcohol road before and died from drinking too much..I of course was revived and I have given up drinking totally...Clean for five years now....This poem is amazing...It truly shows how alcohol is such an evil in disguise...You used time twice in the same refrain which some would call an error in poetry but never the less..This is an excellent, excellent poem

This is very a very good poem, even though I have never drunk that much alcohol, I can actually understand it. Cigarettes are my vice. And even then, I can feel viceless too. I agree with the rest, simply an excellent poem.

to draw inspiration from such angles is artistic, this poem is witty,
tells the tale of a love gone tragedy, lyrically expressed, awesome analogies
