Maybe They're Lost.

Maybe They're Lost.

A Poem by Meaghan

What’s so wrong with me,

That no one sees

All I could be?

No one sees who I am,

Only what I was.

No one gives a damn,

Just because.

They’ve become so sure

Of what I’ll make,

But they’re so impure,

More then fake,

I’ll find their cure

Make them wake.

I’ll stand and fight

For what I believe

I’ll dream at night

While they grieve

With the realization

They weren’t right,

In their darkness,

I’ll shine some light.

In this mess,

I’ll show insight.

So what’s wrong with me

That the world can’t see

This greatness, I aspire to be.

I’ll pray to the skies,

They open their eyes.

And see these lies.

Let truth prevail,

And stop setting me up,

So I fail.
