Free Write

just wrote whatever came out no thinking in process

the only way in
is letting your guard down
meaningless is this earth
is all that ive found
the only way out
is to leave it all behind
to live another day
with no fear in mind
infatuation owns your sight
hang on and close your eyes
where its easy to fight for wrong
harder to fight for whats right
what is it that you want?
are you willing to fight?
you have to have it all
but have you had enough?
you can have it all
i have had enough
do i have it all wrong?
you think youre right?
my God
this world
let there be light
living colored dreams
in a world of black and white
where time rules over lives
until the day that we die
convince me otherwise
that were all not scared
to lose the things that we love
were not in control
but i wont give up
for heaven above
gets me through when its tough
ive come to believe
i have it in me
to become someone
oneday
for all to see

What made me stop and read this is the fact it's a free write. I'm a huge fan of those because it allows us to open our heart and be completely honest, without letting our mind get in the way. This was really beautifully written. I can feel your spirituality in this and I admire those who are that in touch with their soul and the universe. Very intriguing write.

This was great! I loved the very first lines:
"the only way in
is letting your guard down"

The lack of punctuation was an excellent idea...it let the reader create their own flow and their own pauses. It allowed for self evaluation of who they are, what they think and what they've been taught.
This inclusion made the poem even more sweet for me.
